I heard an explanation for the song/saying/scripture “As the deer pants for the water…” it went something like this: A lot of us believe that is saying the deer is thirsty. Like all he needs is a sip of water. But that’s NOT so. The thing is when a deer is being chased it heads…
Paths are a funny thing. Some are winding. Some are straight. There are some that may be covered in brambles and haven’t seen daylight in ages. Yet, they all lead somewhere
“God knows my heart.”
That statement is usually said before, during, or immediately after doing something that we as Christians have no business doing at all…
People are always watching. Always watching and waiting. It is why it is sometimes hard to “make the most of every opportunity,” well that and because we’re human.
It’s easy how we sometimes forget that we have the power to move mountains. To forget that the word tells us we can. To forget that we can be assigned…

Sometimes you are just empty. Like a cup that’s been sitting in the sink for too long. Or that long stretch of secluded land in the middle of the woods.
Or is it you just feel empty? As if, there is nothing to pull from…
